Scooter rider seriously injures pedestrian in Bucktown hit-and-run: police CHICAGO — Chicago police are searching for the driver of a motorized scooter who struck and seriously injured a pedestrian on the city's North Side.The incident happened on April 4 around 7:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of West Webster in Bucktown. A 53-year-old man was jogging on the roadway and was struck by a person driving a scooter, according to police.The rider was knocked off the black motorized scooter and was last seen walking while pushing the scooter northbound on the west sidewalk of Ashland Avenue from Webster Avenue, police said. (KTLA) - A dog in California is in a veterinarian hospital after it was caught in a bee swarm earlier this week. While doing some yard work, a homeowner in Lake Matthews, a community in Riverside County, discovered the hive and attempted to remove it himself. However, after a short time, the situation got out of hand.  Part of the swarm headed for the house where Chance, a pit bull and mastiff mix, lives. Man killed, 2 injured in St. Peters home shooting ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. - An overnight shooting at a St. Peters home leaves a man dead and two others hurt. The Major Case Squad has been activated to investigate the case Monday morning. Authorities tell FOX 2 that there are no suspects in custody. This all unfolded at a home in the Country Creek Subdivision on Country Acres Drive, not far from Jungerman Road.Police crime scene tape is up around much of the home. We’re told the case is being treated as a homicide. Police at the scene have been focusing a lot of attention on the front door area of the house.Sergeant Melissa Doss with the St. Peters Police Department told us authorities received a call for a shooting at the home around 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, police found the troubling scene.Doss said a 57-year-old man was found dead inside the home from an apparent gunshot wound. Woman dies in I-55 rollover crash, man injured ST. LOUIS -- A woman died after a fatal rollover crash on I-55 early Monday morning. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.Police say that the woman was traveling with the 24-year-old man in a 1999 Chevy Camero at around 2 a.m. They were speeding on I-55 near the Truman Parkway exit when the driver lost control of the vehicle.The car crashed into a guardrail and the exit sign as it overturned. The driver and the passenger were ejected.First responders were called to the scene. They took the driver to the hospital for treatment. The woman was pronounced dead at at the scene.
