PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota Republican Gov. SAN FRANCISCO (NEXSTAR) — It's been one rocking week for Steve Mazzari. It was just last Friday night when the 28 year-old San Francisco resident was having drinks with friends at a chain restaurant in Fisherman's Wharf when a 3.7-magnitude earthquake hit the Bay Area.Later that night, a chance encounter with Oakland news outlet KTVU Fox 2 led to Mazzari becoming an overnight viral sensation. Fresh from that evening's drinks, Mazzari agreed to do an interview about the quake."I was just slammin' Dollaritas up at the Applebee's with some friends and it was a big shake. It was only like, probably a couple of seconds. Everyone stopped talking. It was a big one," Mazzari told a KTVU crew. These are the most (and least) stolen cars as of 2023 For the uninitiated, Dollaritas are a popular limited-time promotion by Applebee's which offers $1 margaritas. This year's promotion ended Oct. 31. Voters in the St, Anthony-New Brighton School District will decide on two levy referendums Tuesday. The first question is for a $1.7 milliion a year operating levy. The levy, which would start in 2025 and run for 10 years, would fund recruitment and retention of staff and support academic achievement for students, according the district web site. If approved, an average St. Anthony home valued at $375,000 would see a property tax increase of $36 per month. The other ballot question seeks to continue a capital projects levy passed in 2014 that provides funding for classroom resources such as books, materials, computers and software. If passed, according to the district, it will not result in an additional tax impact as it renews the levy approved in 2014.More information, including how to calculate the impact of each measure on indivdual property taxes, go to: isd282.org/2023-referendumRelated ArticlesElections | 2023 Elections: What you need to know about city, school board...Latest news
