AUSTIN (KXAN) — The attorney for the family of Anthony M. Franklin will announce a lawsuit against the Austin Police Department in a news conference Tuesday, according to a news release from Strom Law Firm.The news conference will begin at 11 a.m. in front of the Austin Federal Courthouse, 501 W. Fifth St., the release said. The Gophers football program has had two players enter the NCAA transfer portal, the Pioneer Press confirmed Monday — Michael Brown-Stephens and Trey Potts.Potts, of Williamsburg, Pa., overcame a serious upper-body injury in 2021 to rush 101 times for 417 yards and three touchdowns in 2022. He has one year of eligibility remaining.Brown-Stephens, of Springfield, Ohio, took a leave of absence from the team at the end of 2022. He had 22 receptions for 338 yards last season. SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Monday, William Lindley, 33, was sentenced to forty years in prison, followed by 20 years of post-release supervision. The announcement was made after Lindley was convicted of two counts of Criminal Sexual Act and one count of Sexual Abuse. Lindley was accused of fondling and subjecting an 11-year-old child to anal and oral sexual conduct in June 2020. The child was well-known to him, and Lindley committed these acts when her mother was at work. St. Lucia is scheduled for sentencing on March 17 after pleading guilty to state healthcare fraud charges.
