WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Stefanos Tsitsipas already has eliminated two Grand Slam champions — Dominic Thiem and Andy Murray — while playing for four days in a row at Wimbledon. He’s scheduled to be back out on court for a fifth consecutive day on Saturday.“I’m ready for anything, pretty much. Unfortunately I can’t plan how long I want to play,” said the No. 5-seeded Tsitsipas, a two-time runner-up at majors. “Sometimes I just have to accept what comes from the other side of the net, try and work around that.”The victory over Thiem was interrupted by rain and stretched from Tuesday to Wednesday; the victory over Murray was halted because it got too late at night to continue on Thursday so they resumed on Friday. Tsitsipas has put in a lot more work this week than his third-round opponent, Laslo Djere of Serbia. While Tsitsipas was on court a total of 10 sets across 8 hours, 36 minutes in his two singles matches, the unseeded Djere has contested eight sets over 6 hours, 36 minutes whil...State TV: Militants attack a police station killing an officer in southeastern Iran, clashes ongoing

SONNEBERG, Germany (AP) — Mike Knoth is more than thrilled that a far-right populist party’s candidate recently won the county administration in his hometown in rural eastern Germany for the first time since the Nazi era.The gardener despises the country’s established parties, he doesn’t trust the media and he feels there are too many migrants in the country. The far-right party Alternative for Germany, or AfD, he hopes, will improve everything that’s not going well in his eyes in Sonneberg, which is in the southeastern state of Thuringia.“I think the fact that so many people voted for Alternative for Germany has already given it legitimacy,” Knoth, 50, said during an interview this week as he walked his dog down the town’s deserted main shopping street. But some in Sonneberg haven’t been won over by AfD’s nationalist and antidemocratic rhetoric.Margret Sturm, an optometrist whose family has been selling glasses for almost 60 years in Sonneberg, voiced h...1 hospitalized after car slams into Seal Beach home
