JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Josh Allen remembers the moment he heard the Jacksonville Jaguars would be playing on “Monday Night Football.” He was working out in Arizona in May and picked up his phone to scroll through highlights of the 2023 schedule.“I screamed,” the pass rusher recalled Thursday. It meant that much to Allen. The primetime showcase might mean even more to the small-market franchise. The Jaguars (8-3) will return to the coveted spot for the first time in a dozen years when they host the reeling Cincinnati Bengals (5-6) to end the Week 13 schedule.Every team in the league has played on “Monday Night Football” at least seven times since Jacksonville’s 38-14 home loss to Philip Rivers and the then-San Diego Chargers on Dec. 5, 2011. Six teams — Chicago, New Orleans, the New York Giants, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle — have each played more than 20 times on “MNF” since. The Jaguars, meanwhile, kept getting overlooked — even after making the AFC title game in the 20...¿Te dijo un familiar algo grosero? CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago stars Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan missed the Bulls’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday because of injuries.LaVine was ruled out because of a sore right foot. DeRozan, who was a game-time decision, sat out with a sprained left ankle, leaving the Bulls without their two best players.LaVine, averaging 21 points, exited Chicago’s blowout loss at Boston on Tuesday. Coach Billy Donovan wasn’t sure how much time the two-time All-Star will miss.“I know he’s going to be out tonight, but that’s really kind of all I have at this point in time,” he said. “It’s just something that I think flared up for him in the Boston game and is still dealing with the soreness.”Guard Alex Caruso was available after being listed as questionable with a strained left toe. Chicago was 5-14 with five straight losses heading into the game. ___AP NBA: https://apnews.com/hub/NBASourceMore Israeli hostages freed and more Palestinian prisoners released under tenuous Gaza truce

Weeks before Christmas, some farms in Massachusetts have been left in short supply, already closed for the season as of this week due to an increase in demand for fresh-cut Christmas trees. At White Gate Farm in West Newbury, owner Pat Kelly told 7NEWS all of the 18-acre farm’s 600 trees were gone in just the first two days of operation this season.Elsewhere, the Massachusetts Christmas Tree Association on Tuesday said more than a dozen farms across the state had also already sold out of trees.“We can’t grow them as fast as people want them,” said Massachusetts Christmas Tree Association spokesperson Dave Morin. “The word is finally getting out that no tree is fresher than the one you watch being cut right in front of you.”Kelly said nothing will get someone in the Christmas spirit quite like cutting down their own tree. After more than three decades running the White Gate Christmas Tree Farm, though, like many others in the business, Kelly said she doesn’t know what the ...Bruins end skid with 3-0 win over Sharks

But after three straight ugly losses in which the B’s allowed 17 goals, any positive development was welcome.Though the B’s started a tad slowly, they nailed down a 3-0 win over the Sharks on Thursday at the Garden, with a couple of encouraging style points to boot. They got goals from both of their rejiggered top six lines, the pushed back emphatically when challenged physically and Jeremy Swayman, pulled in his last start through little fault of his own, posted his second shutout of the season. The B’s had a long way to go to get their game back to respectability, but it was a good first step. The two teams played a low-event, scoreless first period which, for the Bruins in the early going, didn’t look unlike some of the hockey they’d been playing on their three-game losing streak. In the offensive zone, they seemed a bit brain-locked, waiting a h...Latest news
