21-Year-Old Woman Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver near Burkett RoadROSWELL, NM (July 27, 2023) – Early Monday morning, police were called to a hit-and-run collision at South Main Street.The incident happened on July 24th at around 1:20 a.m., when a 21-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle identified as an orange sports car with black stripes.Furthermore, the vehicle was suspected to be a Chevrolet Camaro with front end, windshield, hood, or roof damage.Moreover, the vehicle that struck the woman immediately left the scene without calling for the authorities.Unfortunately, the woman suffered extreme injuries and was pronounced dead by responding authorities.
