Man fatally shot in East Oakland; fourth killing in two days OAKLAND — A 60-year-old man was fatally shot Monday afternoon in East Oakland, the city’s fourth homicide in two days, authorities said.The man’s name was not immediately released.The shooting happened about 4:58 p.m. Monday in the 4200 block of Jensen Street near High Street.The man was standing outside when he was confronted by at least one other man, who shot him before fleeing, authorities said. The wounded man died at the scene.Investigators were still working to determine a motive. No arrests were announced.The killing is the 72nd homicide investigated by Oakland police this year and the fourth fatal shooting in the city since Sunday. None of the four killings appear to be related, authorities said. San Francisco firefighters volunteer to help in Maui OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) -- Ten San Francisco firefighters, all members of the Asian Firefighters Association, are headed to Maui on Tuesday to help with the relief efforts. KRON4 Reporter Will Tran is live this morning from the Oakland International Airport as the firefighters get ready to board their flight to Maui. They are expected to depart around 9 a.m. Missing Netflix employee was last seen in SF, police say "We're on a separate mission. We're going to be doing some volunteering, but then we can also bring some of our technical expertise to the table," said Kaeio Nacua, San Francisco firefighter. There is no time table for when the firefighters will return back to the Bay Area. At least 850 people remain unaccounted for and 115 people have died following the devastating wildfires.

Mount Diablo Unified reaches agreement with union (KRON) -- The Mount Diablo Unified School District says they have reached an agreement with Teamsters wokers.Nearly 500 district workers who are represented by the union, such as custodians and bus drivers, will see a 7 percent raise this school year. A 3 percent raise will also go into effect next year. "Through candid and collaborative bargaining, both parties agreed to informed trade-offs, not only on compensation-related matters important to the union and its members, but also in areas in which changes were sought by the district, including the discipline process, compensatory time, the coordination of differential pay time when an employee may be out for medical reasons, and keeping an important cap on vacation accruals intact," said Chief of Human Resources Dr. John Rubio.
