Rollover Collision near Williams Field Road Left Two People HospitalizedGILBERT, AZ (July 20, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, lanes were blocked and injuries were reported following a single-vehicle rollover accident on Loop 202.Authorities responded to the crash around 4 a.m., just east of Williams Field Road.Upon arrival, Gilbert Police discovered at least one vehicle damaged and a massive blockage in traffic on the roadway.According to the investigators, they are unsure as to what caused the collision and did report that there were several injured. Although no information about the total number, or the extent of their injuries, has been released at this time.In the end, police temporarily shut down a large portion of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. PITTSBURG — A man who pulled into a police department parking lot with gunshot wounds and died there has been identified by authorities.Trevon Richardson, 24, of Antioch, was a passenger in a vehicle that pulled into the parking lot of the Pittsburg Police Department about 5:10 p.m. on July 14. Richardson and the driver each had been shot multiple times, police said.Richardson died in the parking lot. The 21-year-old Antioch resident who drove the car was taken by ambulance to a hospital. Police have not provided an update to his condition.Officers found evidence that a shooting had occurred in the 2100 block of Crestview Lane.The homicide is the fourth one this year investigated by Pittsburg police. BRENTWOOD — A 17-year-old who police said attempted to rob another man and wound up dying in a shootout that involved a third person has been identified, authorities said.Brentwood police Lt. Walter O’Grodnick said investigators believe the shot that killed Abel Juarez, of Brentwood, on July 14, appears to have come from a 21-year-old Antioch man that police said Juarez and another man tried to rob.The 20-year-old Walnut Creek man who police say was with Juarez has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, discharging a gun at a vehicle, and carrying a loaded gun in public, authorities said. SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- A HazMat unit and firefighters responded to Muwekma Ohlone Middle School on 2nd and Hedding streets Thursday morning after a car crashed on campus. A woman was driving a silver Subaru when her car smashed through a wall surrounding the school's pool chemical storage area at 8:36 a.m., police said. The Subaru caught on fire next to the chemicals."Officers assisted with getting the driver out of the vehicle. SJ Fire and Hazmat Unit assisted with vehicle fire and securing pool chemicals," the San Jose Police Department wrote. The cause and circumstances of the collision are under investigation.
